New article: Metformin: translating the evidence for prevention of weight gain

In this invited commentary, we expand upon the findings of DelBello and Colleagues, who published a trial demonstrating that metformin was effective in mitigating weight gain in young people with bipolar disorder. In our article, we advocate for the preventative use of metformin and that people with severe mental illness should have access to GLP-1ra medications. Unfortunately, we could not make this article open access, as the main article that it was referring to was on subscription, however for those with a library subscription, the article can be accessed [here]
